Misys is proud to announce the development of a connectivity adapter that allows Misys Connect to work with independent HIS systems. We believe in making interoperability a reality and this tool will ultimately expand connectivity capabilities to include the aggregation of other critical clinical information as well as expand essential reporting capabilities.

Benefits include:

• No expensive point-to-point interfaces required. The link aggregates a comprehensive view of patient data from both the hospital HIS and Misys systems.
• With the secure Misys Connect physician portal, even physicians without EMR can see the data.
• The tool will be further developed to allow physician access to other critical clinical data stored in the hospital HIS systems to improve quality and reduce cost of care.

Misys’ connectivity adapter aggregates information stored in independent, proprietary systems. It enables physicians to access hospital lab data from the HIS system using Misys Connect through either a secure Misys Connect physician portal or Misys EMR.
