Defining IHE
IHE (Integrating the Health Enterprise) is an initiative to improve communication between disparate computer systems. Systems developed in accordance with IHE communicate with one another better, are easier to implement, and enable care providers to use information more effectively. IHE is designed to improve the state of systems integration and remove barriers to optimal patient care.
Misys has been a member of IHE for the last three years and has successfully demonstrated interoperability in the Connect-a-Thons and HIMSS Showcases during this time. Misys is active in the IHE Technical Infrastructure (ITI) domain, as well as the Patient Care Coordination (PCC) domain within IHE.
